Painting in the dark: a blindfolded painting workshop

This collaborative workshop invites participants to experience art from a new perspective—by painting blindfolded. Working in pairs, you’ll take turns assisting each other to create art together. Using a canvas board, paints, sand, and coffee beans, you’ll learn techniques that Chris uses to paint without sight, including applying paint by hand and building texture. The process emphasizes touch and scent as much as visual impact, resulting in a piece that looks, feels, and smells wonderful. By the end, every participant will have created a unique, sight-free painting.

By the end of the workshop, each participant will complete a 12” x 12” unframed canvas-board artwork depicting their own personalized blindfolded painting. Whether displayed at home or gifted to someone special, Painting in the Dark is a meaningful and creative way to celebrate special occasions or to experience something unique.

This workshop is designed for all skill levels and offers a fun, supportive environment for anyone interested in exploring visual art.
